Dear Sisters,

Thanks to Brother Cody Diehl for teaching the lesson on family history.  Our Stake focus this year is to take family names to the temple.  We watched a video about how a struggling family's life was blessed through doing family history and making a goal to get to the temple.  

Next week is Fast Sunday and the RS lesson will be from the RS Presidency.

Happy Birthday this week to Rauchelle Richey (Feb. 1st).

Thursday Feb. 23rd (tentative): Gift of Midwifery and the Benefits of Chiropractive care during Pregnancy

Kirsten Culverwell, Judy Vidaurri and a sister from the downtown San Diego ward are planning an evening of the Gift of Midwifery and the Benefits of Chiropractic care during Pregnancy (potentially Feb. 23rd). 

During the early days of the church, women were selected to go to school to  be midwives and doctors so they could assist each other in the birthing process. 

There will be a couple of Midwives with a wealth of experience and a Chiropractor present.  The evening will consist of the History of Midwifery, what takes place during a birth, roles, knowledge and expertise, time to answer questions and share experiences and a little about Chiropractic care in Pregnancy. 

Everyone is welcome to come! Even if you are not planning to have children soon, this is a great opportunity to familiarize yourself with this practice and to ask any questions you may have.

Jacoi Woolley gave us several dress shirts of her husbands that are to lager for my slim Nate. I was wondering if you would put something in the RS email offering them to anyone interested. They are mostly 15 1/2 to 16 in the collar, and 33 to 34 in the arm length. Someone would be welcome to take a look.  Thanks, Lucynthia
