Dear Sisters,

Thank you Sister Sallee Mathews for the lesson on the "Oath and Covenant of the Priesthood" from D&C 84.  We discussed how understanding this principle is imperative for women, because the Priesthood affects our lives daily through our covenants we have made and holy ordinances that we have performed.  

Next week's lesson will be Lesson #3 Our Testimony of Jesus Christ from the Teachings of President George Albert Smith Manual.

Please remember to pray for our Focus Five sisters by name.

7pm in the primary room.  Let us help you with your New Year's goal to be healthier this year.  All experience and fitness levels welcome.  Wear comfortable workout clothing and come prepared for a great workout. Nursery will be provided.

Thursday Feb. 23rd: Gift of Midwifery and the Benefits of Chiropractic care during Pregnancy 
7pm @ the church. Kirsten Culverwell, Judy Vidaurri and a sister from the downtown San Diego ward are planning an evening of the Gift of Midwifery and the Benefits of Chiropractic care during Pregnancy. During the early days of the church, women were selected to go to school to  be midwives and doctors so they could assist each other in the birthing process. There will be a couple of Midwives with a wealth of experience and a Chiropractor present.  The evening will consist of the History of Midwifery, what takes place during a birth, roles, knowledge and expertise, time to answer questions and share experiences and a little about Chiropractic care in Pregnancy. Everyone is welcome to come! Even if you are not planning to have children soon, this is a great opportunity to familiarize yourself with this practice and to ask any questions you may have.
