Relief Society Page

Dear Sisters,

Thank you Sister Katie Burke for the thoughtful lesson based on Elder Scott's talk Learning To Recognize Answers To Prayers.  We had a wonderful discussion about the way in which prayers are answered, or not answered, differently.

Next week is Fast Sunday and the lesson will be from a member of the Relief Society Presidency.

Happy Birthday this week to Elizabeth Lewis (Nov. 30th), and Taci Durrant (Dec. 4th).

Announcements for this week:

Tuesday November 29th: Christmas Service Project Prep
8pm-10pm at the church. We are still working on the welfare kits for the NICU families.  We will need as many sewers and machines as possible and we also need several people to cut.  So sewers and cutters are needed!  Scissors would be great too!  Thank you so much for your service!

Saturday December 3rd: Ward Christmas Dinner and Service Project
5pm-7:30pm at the church.  Dinner at 5pm.  Service activity starts at 6:30pm. We will be enjoying a wonderful Christmas dinner. Following that we will put together welfare packages for families who have babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) over the holidays.  We are accepting monetary donations to help facilitate the success of this project (buying supplies) as well as to provide gift cards in the packages.  The gift cards should be in small amounts, $5-$10, to places where the families might be able to get a quick meal, or buy some needed supplies.  You may buy gift cards, or you may make a donation on your tithing slip in the "other" category and write "Ward Christmas Service Project" or something to that effect.

Sunday December 4th: First Presidency Christmas Devotional
5pm Satellite Broadcast

Mark Your Calendar:
Sunday December 11: Annual Stake Christmas Concert
7pm  at the Pacific Beach Building 5151 Fanuel St. Several of our ward members are singing in this concert!  Come and support them and enjoy a wonderful Christmas concert.  Flyers will be available next week to give to friends!

Monday December 12th: Christmas Caroling with the TaylorsTime TBD.  Details to come.

If you have an announcement you would like to post, please contact Andrea Gehmlich @ abomb36@hotmail.com

We love you,

Sallee, Julina, Katie, and Andrea
