Dear Sisters,

Thank you Sister Sallee Mathews for giving us a wonderful introduction into the new Relief Society book, "Daughters In My Kingdom." Sallee shared with us some stories about women that she found inspiring and moving.  Each sister in our RS has a book with her name on it.  If you did not receive your copy this past Sunday, make sure to pick it up next Sunday.  If you are unable to pick it up, let us know and we can arrange a way to get it to you.


Next week's lesson is #39 The Law of Chastity from the Gospel Principles manual.

Happy Birthday this week to Kathy Russell (Oct. 12th) and Erin Lange (Oct. 14th).

Announcements:

Feeding the MissionariesThe missionaries have no dinner appointments scheduled for Wednesday through Friday.  If you would like to have these lovely young men in your home this week, please contact Sallee Mathews sallee030@hotmail.com.  The Friday dinner needs to be at either 5pm or 7pm.  They have an appointment at 6pm.

Wednesday October 19th: Relief Society Getting to Know You NightTime TBD.  We will be playing some games and spending some time getting to know each other.  Note: this is on a Wednesday, so if you are unable to make Thursdays, here's a chance to come!

Friday October 21st: Annual Ward Campout (NEW DATE!)

2:00pm @ Crestline at Palomar.  If you have not filled out the 1-minute survey, please click here and do so now.  Thank you to all who have responded so far!  We look forward to having a great time! Here is the Ward Campout Website complete with directions https://sites.google.com/site/uc2ndwardcampout2011/.  Look forward to a potluck dinner, s'mores, a dutch oven cook-off, games, good conversation, breakfast provided by the Bishopric and some hiking.  You may arrive at any time and leave at any time.

Wednesday November 9th: Relief Society Book ClubTime TBD. We will be discussing the "Daughters In My Kingdom" book, eating delicious food and enjoying each others company.  

Thursday November 10th: Stake Relief Society Temple Day

Baptisms 5pm and 7pm--especially for those not endowed

Endowment Session 7pm Chapel Session prior to the 7:30 session

AM Session: TBD

We have been encouraged to find one family name to take to the San Diego Temple with us.  We have two months to achieve this goal!

Ongoing Activities:

Mondays: Beach Day @ La Jolla Shores (no more crowds!!)

Tuesdays: Ward Temple Endowment Session10am and 7pm.  Members are always needed to fill this reservation.  There can never be too many.
