Relief Society Page

Dear Sisters,

Thank you Sister Taci Durrant for leading a great discussion on honesty.  We discussed how being honest is not only telling the truth, but standing up for truth, obeying laws (even the seemingly trivial ones) and being honest in all our dealings with our fellow men.

Next week is Stake Conference.

Happy Birthday this week to Jesse Alvilda (June 14th), Rozalyn Woods (June 17th) and Nicole Hoffman (June 17th). Happy Birthday also to Amy O'Keefe last week (June 9th) and two weeks ago Mary Mullane (June 4th) and Kirsten Culverwell (June 4th).
I'll try not to miss any more!  So sorry!

Thursday June 23rd: Quilting Night Phase 1...Let the Quilting Begin!
Karen Shell will lead us in cutting, arranging, and sewing the 8.5” blocks of fabric.  We are in need of volunteers to bring the following:
3 sewing machines: Sewing machines have attachment issues. Don’t make your machine sad by sending it to the activity all alone. Each sewing machine will require the supervision of its owner (the activity will run more smoothly if you know how to thread your machine).
2 Irons and 2 Ironing Boards
3 Cutting boards (fabric; not food)
3 Rotary cutters
3 Sewing scissors
2 Large cork boards
Please contact Debs Aplanalp if you can bring any of these items and would like to sign up: debsaplanalp@gmail.com.

Saturday June 25th: Emergency Preparedness Fair
10:00am-12:00noon at the chapel. Some things that will be presented will be basic car maintenance, food storage and what to do with kids in an emergency
Children will get passports and be able to "travel" to each station and fill up their passports with stamps.  This will be a great family activity and a great opportunity to invite friends and neighbors.  The more people who are prepared, the better.  This activity can benefit all in our community.

Saturday June 25th: Mormon Night at the Padres Game
Game time at 5:35pm. Tickets are $10.  If you would like tickets, please contact Sallee Mathews sallee030@hotmail.com by THIS WEDNESDAY June 15th.
