We had a wonderful lesson on revelation based on David A. Bednar's talk The Spirit of Revelation. Thank you Deb Aplanalp for your insights and sharing your personal experiences.
There is no reason to be bored this week! There are a lot of opportunities for service and gathering.
This Week in Announcements:
Happy Birthday to Karla Gonzales on Sunday May 8th!
Tuesday May 3rd: Ward Endowment Sessions and Chapel Session
5:30am Endowment Session
10:00am Endowment Session
7:00pm Ward Chapel Session: The Bishop would really like to encourage us to attend this chapel session. If you would like to do an endowment session, you could do the session before the chapel session (5pm) or one afterward (8pm). Chapel sessions usually last 30 min.
Thursday May 5th: Institute Potluck and Institute5:30pm at Mesa Apartments Community Room 3755 (by the playground, basketball and volleyball courts) there will be an Institute Potluck. Come celebrate Cinco de Mayo and Institute with friends.
6:30pm at Mesa Apartments Community Room 3875 (North Mesa). After you fill your tummy, fill your spirit at the New Testament Institute class taught by Brother Bonnel.
Friday May 6th-Sat. May 7th: Father and Kids Campout
Crestline Group Camp Site - Cleveland National Forrest. If you went to the ward camp out last year, it is the same camp site. Campsite is available at 2pm on Friday until 12pm Sat. All men are welcome. Having children is not a prerequisite to attend! Contact Brett Montgomery for more information.
Important future dates:
Thursday May 12th: A Night of Service and Good Finds
6:30-8:30pm at the church. We will be making quilts to support the Church Humanitarian program and also donating/swapping clothing (adult and children), jewelry, and craft items.
Light snack and nursery provided.
Sunday May 22nd: Temple fireside by Sealer & San Diego Temple Architect Bill Lewis
7:00pm Brother Lewis will be speaking on symbolism in the temple, specifically some of the visual symbols found in the San Diego temple. The fireside will be held in the Relief Society room of our ward building.

The Ward Employment Specialist is Josh Smith. If you are currently looking for a job he may be able to help you. Go to www.ldsjobs.org to begin this process or contact Brother Smith.
We are updating the binders. If you have any suggestions or requests as to what should go in them, please contact Andrea Gehmlich at abomb36hotmail.com
We are also updating the blog and plan to post more regularly. Keep your eye out this Friday for a "Sister Spotlight" and for something interesting every Friday!

Actually you may attend the 7:30 pm endowment session. The chapel session will end in time for us to be there.
