Wanton Strawberry Desserts (Tami’s high school Home EC class)
24 wanton wrappers
6 Tb melted butter – brush one side with butter and press into brown sugar.
2/3 c. Brown sugar
Place in a greased muffin tin with brown sugar and butter facing up. Bake at 325 for 7 to 10 minutes until edges are light brown.
MIX:
8 oz cream cheese soft
2 Tb honey
1 Tb orange juice
Place 1 Tbs into each cooked wanton
Top with fresh sliced strawberries
Whipping cream
Fresh mint
Tomato Bread Appetizer (From Alice Clawson)
Ingredients
Pillsbury garlic french bread (I usually just buy a cooked baguette)
Cherry tomatoes, sliced in half
Zucchini sliced thinly
Mozzarella cheese sliced
Sauce
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1 clove garlic pressed
1 tsp dry basil or 1 TB fresh basil chopped
1 tsp dry oregano or 1 TB fresh oregano chopped
Bake bread if using Pillsbury, following directions on package. Slice bread into thin pieces.
Mix ingredients for sauce together in bowl: mayo, parmesan, garlic, basil, and oregano. Spread sauce on slices.
Top bread with zucchini, tomato and mozzarella cheese.
Bake at 425 for 10 minutes.
