Style Swap & Mingle

Thank you to all of the sisters who attended our Style Swap & Mingle this evening.  It was so fun to mingle with everyone and to trade clothing and much much more.  We enjoyed some fabulous appetizers (recipes coming soon) and were able to donate bags and bags of clothing to Deseret Industries.  Thank you all for your support, and may your homes be a little less cluttered.

Here are the recipes from Jenn Moyle & Ashley Haug of the yummy food:

Wanton Strawberry Desserts (Tami’s high school Home EC class)
24 wanton wrappers
6 Tb melted butter – brush one side with butter and press into brown sugar.
2/3 c. Brown sugar
Place in a greased muffin tin with brown sugar and butter facing up. Bake at 325 for 7 to 10 minutes until edges are light brown.
MIX:
8 oz cream cheese soft
2 Tb honey
1 Tb orange juice
Place 1 Tbs into each cooked wanton

Top with fresh sliced strawberries
Whipping cream
Fresh mint

Tomato Bread Appetizer (From Alice Clawson)
Ingredients
Pillsbury garlic french bread (I usually just buy a cooked baguette)
Cherry tomatoes, sliced in half
Zucchini sliced thinly
Mozzarella cheese sliced

Sauce
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1 clove garlic pressed
1 tsp dry basil or 1 TB fresh basil chopped
1 tsp dry oregano or 1 TB fresh oregano chopped

Bake bread if using Pillsbury, following directions on package.  Slice bread into thin pieces.
Mix ingredients for sauce together in bowl: mayo, parmesan, garlic, basil, and oregano.  Spread sauce on slices.
Top bread with zucchini, tomato and mozzarella cheese.
Bake at 425 for 10 minutes.
