Relief Society Page

Dear Sisters,

Happy Thanksgiving week!

Thank you Sister Taci Durrant for teaching the lesson on the Signs of the Second Coming.  We discussed how there are many great things to look forward to and how we should be living righteous lives today in order to prepare for that.

Next week lesson is Teaching for Our Times.

Happy Birthday this week to Judy Vidaurri (Nov. 27th).

Thank You to all those who participated in our Share Your Craft Night last Thursday!
It was wonderful to see how much talent and creativity we have in this ward! You Sisters are amazing and feel free to continue sharing your projects/ideas and cultivating those skills with one another!!

Announcements for this week:
Tuesday November 22nd: Christmas Service Project Prep
8pm-10pm at the church. Our Christmas service project has grown and we need to do some prepping for it.  We will be getting together to practice assembling these kits, and items that go in the kits, to see how long it will take us.  We will also be doing some prep work to prepare the items to be made.  No sewing skills required.  If you didn't have a chance to see the sign-up in the binder, just come on Tuesday.
Thursday November 24th: Thanksgiving Potluck
3-6pm at the church. Turkey bowl (flag football) at 3pm and activities for the kids.  Dinner at 4pm. If you are sticking around for the holiday and would like to spend it with friends please come. RSVP to Katie Johnson katie.h.johnson@gmail.com if you haven't already signed up.  Please think about any neighbors or friends you may have who may not be able to make it home for this day and invite them too. If you didn't indicate what you were going to bring, Katie will be emailing you soon with an assignment.

Mark your Calendar:

Saturday December 3rd: Ward Christmas Dinner and Service Project5pm-7:30pm at the church.  Dinner at 5pm.  Service activity starts at 6:30pm. We will be enjoying a wonderful Christmas dinner. Following that we will put together welfare packages for families who have babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) over the holidays.  We are accepting monetary donations to help facilitate the success of this project (buying supplies) as well as to provide gift cards in the packages.  The gift cards should be in small amounts, $5-$10, to places where the families might be able to get a quick meal, or buy some needed supplies.  You may buy gift cards, or you may make a donation on your tithing slip in the "other" category and write "Ward Christmas Service Project" or something to that effect.
