Dear Sisters,
Thank you Allison Nelson for teaching the lesson about family responsibilities. We talked about our joint parental responsibilities to protect our children, teach them the gospel, and help them fulfill their potential. We also talked about women's roles as mothers and this sacred calling. We also talked about how all women have this gift to nurture, whether we have our own children, or other opportunities to nurture those around us.
Next week's lesson is #38 Eternal Marriage from the Gospel Principles Manual.

Thursday September 15th: Quarterly Relief Society Birthday Party
7:30pm Mesa Community Room 3755 (by the volleyball court and playground). If you have (had) a birthday in July, August or September you are invited to come share the evening with your Relief Society sisters. Invitations have been delivered. Don't miss out on the evening to just kick back, relax, and connect with your fellow sisters.

Thursday September 22nd: Quilting Night Phase 3 (The Final Chapter)
6:30-8:30pm at the church. Let the quilting carry on! We will tie the quilts with Marva Don Holmes and other sisters from the 10th ward. If you can tie a knot, you can help!
Saturday September 24th: Primary Program Rehearsal
3:30-4pm This is the only chance for our primary to be in the chapel before the program on the following day. Please mark this on your calendar and please be punctual.
Saturday September 24th: General Relief Society Broadcast
5:00pm Satellite Broadcast at the Stake Center 4741 Mt. Abernathy Ave. Immediately following you are invited to stay for refreshments and fellowshipping.
Tuesday Sept. 27th-Friday Sept. 30th: Stake Temple Week
6:30pm and 8:30pm Stake Endowment Session on Friday
Saturday and Sunday October 1st and 2nd: General Conference
Friday October 7th: Annual Ward Campout

We have been encouraged to find one family name to take to the San Diego Temple with us. We have two months to achieve this goal!
Other Announcements
We have received many questions about the new RS Book that has just been released "Daughters In My Kingdom." The ward will be ordering those for us asap, and will distribute them to all who want one as soon as we can. We look forward to having this valuable resource!
Sister Dorthea Colon will be moving within a couple weeks and has furniture for sale. If you are looking for some inexpensive furniture, contact Dorthea atdortheacolon@gmail.com or call 404-954-0521.
Ariana McCann has a queen size box spring and metal frame with wheels that she is offering free to anyone who is willing to take it off her hands. If you are interested please call/text Ariana at (916) 801-3929.
