Dear Sisters,
Thank you Erin Collins for your thoughtful lesson based on the talk, An High Priest of Good Things to Come by Jeffrey R. Holland. We discussed how the Atonement sustains us in our trials and that we can have hope that things will get better. The Savior counseled us to "be of good cheer" and we shared ideas of what this means and how we can do that.
This week in announcements:
Thursday August 11th: Online Missionary Work Workshop
7:00pm-8:30pm. This is a great opportunity to learn from our own "experts." Brother Durrant and Kathryn Skaggs (Laura Dulin's mom) will be sharing their experience and insights with us on this topic. We will be meeting in the Relief Society Room and we are excited to see YOU there!!! Oh and of course NURSERY will be provided.
Saturday August 13th: Ward Potluck Party for Elder Valikoula
5pm at Nobel Park in one of the pavillions. Dessert is provided. Bring a dish to share.

Mondays: Beach Day @ La Jolla Shores

Wednesdays: Pool Day @ Crossroads Apartment Complex
11:00am-2:00pm (sometimes later) at the kiddie pool next to the playground. Visitor parking located in the garage and on Sydney Ct. behind the complex.
Fridays: Stake Coed Volleyball at the Stake Building
Other Announcements:
I have a wood frame, double bed (size) futon that I want to get rid of. I wanted to know if anyone wanted it for free? They would just have to come get it. It is in good condition and one side of the cushion is solid blue and the other side is green with fish.
