Dear Sisters,

Thank you Sister Allison Nelson for allowing us to explore ways in which we can serve. The lesson was based on Elder Ballard's talk from conference: Finding Joy Through Loving Service. We discussed ways we can serve at home, in the church, and in the community. Several insights and experiences were shared as to how we can more fully fulfill this commandment.

Happy Birthday this week to Alice Clawson (July 1st).

Congrats to Amy O'Keefe and family who welcomed their little boy (yet to be named) and girl (Abigail) to the world yesterday June 25th.

We are sad to see you leave Sister Courtney Pena and Sister Audrey Mackay and wish you the best!

Monday July 4th: Combined Ward Pancake Breakfast and Children's Bike Parade

8:30am at the ward building. We're combining with the 1st Ward for some fun, food and patriotism. A Color Guard Ceremony will take place and a children's bike parade, so get ready for some festive riding! (Wagons, tricycles, etc. are also appropriate.)

Monday July 11th: Temple Cleaning Assignment

Saturday July 16th: Stake Blood Drive

Mondays: Beach Day @ La Jolla Shores

Wednesday: Pool Day @ Crossroads Apartment Complex

11am-2pm at the kiddie pool next to the playground. Visitor parking located in the garage and on Sydney Ct. behind the complex.

Fridays: Stake Coed Volleyball at the Stake Building (No volleyball this Friday due to holiday weekend)

Other Announcements:

Lucynthia is wondering if anyone will be heading back from Utah sometime between July 16th and the 23rd and would have space for two extra bodies? Her boys would like to go on a little extend family trip and though Nate and Lucynthia can get them there, it is too close to her due date to get them home. She would happily pay you $100 plus any food expenses you may incur feeding my 3 and 5 year old. My kids have made the drive a lot and do a great job. If you are able, interested or know someone who is, please contact her.
