Dear Sisters,
We are all so blessed to live within a few miles of the San Diego Temple. The temple can be great a source of peace, understanding and opportunity to serve. Although the temple is close, for many of us it is difficult to coordinate our lives to attend. Richard G. Scott said,“When a temple is conveniently nearby, small things may interrupt your plans to go to the temple. Set specific goals, considering your circumstances, of when you can and will participate in temple ordinances. Then do not allow anything to interfere with that plan. This pattern will guarantee that those who live in the shadow of a temple will be as blessed as are those who plan far ahead and make a long trip to the temple.”
In the month of August, we would like for you to help your temple worthy visiting teaching sisters receive the great blessings the temple has to offer. If your sister has children, coordinate a time to watch her children so she and her husband may attend the temple together. If she does not have children, find time to attend the temple together. We know that as we serve one another in this great opportunity, the lives of our sisters will be tremendously blessed.
