May 5th: Cinco de Mayo extravaganza for the new members (here for 6 months or less) of the ward. To be held at the Snow's apartment at 6:30pm... email us if you need an adress.
May 9th: Community Book Fair at the Nobel Park from 9am-4pm. We have been given the opportunity to serve at this book fair. Any volunteers recieve a free t-shirt! What a great chance for us to get out and get involved with our community. They are willing to take volunteers for any amount of time they can come for. Contact the missionaries if you are interested.
May 14th: Scrapbook group will meet at 7:30 in the Relief Society room. Bring one or two pages that you need to work on and learn about new, creative ways to do photo layouts and color themes.
May 19th: Our first annual Swap It. Now's the time to go through your junk and clean out what is collecting dust. Drag it on over to the cultural hall and eat some treats while you pick through other 'treasures' that have been dropped off. Anything left over at the end will be put in the DI pod. This is a great opportunity to donate your stuff and pick up some new to you stuff. Bring your friends, the more junk, the better for everyone!
May 26th: Cannery Night at 6:30pm. All ward members 12 and above are welcome to come can. Download an order form here. Print it out and bring it with cash or check to the cannery. 4722 Mercury St., San Diego, CA. Remember that the time to prepare for emergencies is before the emergency.
Thursday nights are our SOCCER NIGHTS! Come play with your sisters at 8:30pm at the Muir Field, near the institute building. Go north on Torrey Pines then turn right onto Muir College Drive. Park in either of the two big parking lots on the right. Walk south through Muir College to the fields. Come for some fun and some exercise. Bring water and a ball if you have one.
