Fun (and FREE) Things To Do This Week!! (2/16-2/21)

This is a post topic that I hope will be pretty regular each week so everyone can check it out and see what fun things there are to do around here. I've lived here for a while but I'm still pretty clueless of all the events going on, so this is a good excuse for me to check up on the fun stuff!

Here is a list of some super fun things to do this week around the county. Take advantage of some of what San Diego has to offer!

Tuesday Feb. 17
Lots of Free Museums in Balboa Park (click the names for more info). Most of these museums are free between 10am and 4pm.

• Museum of Art

Wednesday Feb. 18
Ocean Beach Farmer's Market! We all love our fresh fruits and veggies. Take your kids out for a stroll before dinner! 4pm-8pm. (Click on HERE for more information).

Saturday Feb. 21
Lots of interesting things to do today! (Click the event for more info).

• Little Italy Farmer's Market
• Electronics Waste Recycling Event -- This is a chance to get rid of all your old electronics like cell phones, computers, monitors, printers, etc. Let's help clean up our planet and dispose of our electronics the right way! Take advantage of this opportunity!
• Canyoneer's Walk -- Fortuna Mountain -- Want the chance to see some of what San Diego's nature has to offer? Take a look at this hike and see if you are up to it.
• Big Bay Whale Days - Free whale watching cruises for children, free child admission to the USS Midway Museum and Maritime Museum of San Diego, and money-saving coupons to stores and restaurants along North Harbor Drive.
• Little Italy Carnavale - San Diego’s Little Italy comes alive with this festival which mirrors the Carnevale in Venice. Enjoy colorful Venetian masks, live entertainment, a costume competition, and delicious food.
