Scrapbooking Saturday!

For those of you who couldn't attend our preliminary "meeting" on the 14th, we have decided to get together about 1-2 times a month for scrapbooking and other various paper crafts (card making, calendars, books, etc...). We will be doing one Saturday morning a month and one weekday a month (weekday meetings depend on availability and interest. This is when we will probably do miscellaneous projects other than scrapbooking).

We will be doing our first Scrapbooking Saturday in one of the Mesa Community Rooms. I will plan on trying to be at the Community Room of choice (to be announced at a later date) around 6:00 a.m. You can get there and stay as long as you would like. I will reserve the room until 1:00 p.m. unless otherwise suggested.

This group is open to any of you who are interested in joining. If you do not scrapbook already but want to learn, if you want to organize your photos, if you need some inspiration or motivation. Even if you want to bring your computer and do some digital scrapbooking on Shutterfly or Snapfish. Anything goes! ANYTHING!

I will call today or tomorrow about how to reserve a community room. Do any of you have a community room that you suggest??? Preferably a pretty large one.

I am looking at the Saturdays in February and there is not a Saturday I can do it. But this does not mean that you cannot still do it. I was thinking about either the 7th or the 21st of February. If it is on one of those two dates I may be able to pull off attending (I have birthday parties to go to on both days). Which date works best for you (please respond so I can get a nice poll of everyone)?

We are all very excited and eager to begin working together. At our meeting on the 14th we shared a lot of tips and techniques and I think we all walked away with new ideas. Hopefully this group will not only help us to get our books (and other projects) done but also give us some cool new techniques and SOME NEW FRIENDS!
